The official wind estimated noted by Wurman in 1997,2001 & 2007 was 301 +- 20mph at 32 meters above ground. Winds were estimated to be lower at ground level. As far as the rest of your statement regarding strongest on record and rating based on damaged, I have been well aware of that for several years now. I'm also aware that many tornados actually may be the strongest on record but we will never know for sure. Nothing has matched the damage noted by NWS emp. who surveyed the Jarrell tornado.
