Nice lesson. If you watch a couple live versions of petty playing it you can see most people have the chords wrong. Its not a barred F and the pinky stays on the 3rd fret of the high E the whole time. Been watching videos trying to figure out the correct notes for the solo.

Excellent - you make it so easy. Any chance on getting a part 3 on the lead solo in the song - searched the web and can't find anything on the leads.

Very neat, I like how you broke down the parts so people can play the song the way it was done originally. Too many instruction video's just teach you the chords, which is pointless. There need to be more videos like this. Other instructors should take notes!

It just didn't sound quite right when I first started playing it on my own and you're absolutely right when you say there's a whole lot more going on in the song than just those four chords. The rolling riff was actually the key I needed to get to where I wanted to be in playing this song. Thank you so much for sharing this lesson. This is easily the best "Learning to Fly" lesson out there.
