Obamas plan will be run out of the Treasury under former New York Fed Grand Poobah Timothy Geithner.




Obama — or rather, the bankers who own Obama — has devised something called a Financial Services Oversight Council to be chaired by the bankster dominated Treasury Department. This uber-council would call the shots for every financial firm in the country and supposedly refer emerging risks to the attention of regulators with the authority to respond, even as Obama plans to call for the U.S. Office of Thrift Supervision to close under the direction of the Federal Reserve.

Instead of independent bank regulators, Obama proposes a National Bank Supervisor who would have separate status within Treasury and be led by a single executive, according to Clusterstock. The NBS czar would occupy a centralized post in enemy territory and take over the prudential responsibilities of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which currently charters and supervises nationally chartered banks and federal branches and agencies of foreign banks.

my friend. the patriot act stripped our Constitutional rights! they are not 'allowed' to do that but they did. look up the youtube video where the ambulance driver is assaulted by local police. the government is doing plenty they are not supposed to. Im not arguing with you just pointing out that our government is corrupt and they are slowly stripping the very rights you are referring to. Maybe you're right. I think Obama's a decent man, but the more I read, I find he's continuing many of Bush's worse policies (rendition, torture, warrantless wire tapping, state secrecy in regards to torture, keeping Guantanamo, staying longer in Iraq and with more troops than promised, and on)...

Also, what's the deal with this forced domestic service thing? The country needs a domestic army like its one overseas? Does anyone stop to consider how wrong that sounds?

the caliber of ppl today are a far cry from our grandparents. this is why the gov. took them away first by putting them in institutions only way for state to pay while experimenting on them w/drugs . out sourcing home care. now the children are being taken to serve the common cause. the camps are for their parents.
