Asaf Peres - Mindsets of Sensual Loneliness, Solo Contrabass

3rd Movement - Desperate - Marie-Claude Tardif (starts at 8:17)

This is a solo contrabass piece, originally written for the wonderful Marie-Claude Tardif. This performance was the premiere of the piece, and since I only managed to finish writing it three days before the performance date, which is not enough time for one player to learn it, we decided to ask two more players to join in and have each one play one of the movements.

Luckily, the Shepherd School of Music has arguably the best Contrabass studio in the world, headed by the great Paul Ellison, and I was able to find two more bass players who were able to learn their respective movements within one day and give a perfect performance.
