The Cathedrals Express Carol Concert Special
Saturday 19th December 2009
LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 no 60019 'Bittern'
1Z48 London Kings Cross - Norwich:
We see Bittern storm along the fen line heading north bound towards Norwich with a load 12 in tow. This is shot at Burgess Drove crossing just north of Waterbeach station which can be seen in the video. Some lovely whitsles can be heard too and it looks great in the snow.
5Z45 Norwich TC - Norwich TC:
We see it shunting backwards towards the sidings with the support carriage in tow. This was taken outside Norwich station standing on a post to see over the wall. Again, looking superb in the snow.
1Z49 Norwich - London Kings Cross:
We see it depart from Norwich station with the return leg and throwing lots of steam over us hench the blackout to clean me lense. Whistles included aswell as the screeching wheelslip on the icy rails.
what a stunning video! Looks gorgeous in the snow for sure. That first shot was amazing, so picturesque, the steam merging with the snow and that beautiful loco :)
