This week I looked at a couple of motors that would be good for a homemade windmill. Both are over 900 watts. One is good for 24 volt battery bank and the other is good for 48 volts.

  • Thanks, I like your savonius. I'm working on a VAWT myself. The blades will be true airfoils that generate lift. I'm in the process of moving, but once things settle down, I'll start working on it.

  • What kind of hp would it take to turn these motors ,most would take a gas engine to turn them .They are stiff motors
