Of the main Jap sports cars, i would put them in this order of preference,
1. Skyline R33/R34 GT-R
2. Mazda RX-7 FD3S Type-R
3. Toyota Supra TT
I can't afford the insurance on a skyline yet so i've decided on an RX-7, the Supra seems a little over the top for the town i live in and i think people would be assholes and key it and stuff out of jealousy. RX-7 is less "in ya face" but still stunning.

Sounds like an awesome project! What standalone you getting? I've messed with only one stand alone.. 034 motorsports ecu. It's easy. For my buds 2.0L 8v itb turboed jetta. Hopefully I can get ahold of a rx7, cuz its getting a 20b swap! Good luck with the 2jz race

I just talked to a vietnamese older guy at work who said he sold his 96 twin turbo supra for 1000 bucks 5 years ago; apparently he didn't know it was a collectible; 1000 bucks with a new engine :0 can you believe that?
