Clark deserved to be treated like a villain, Lana's stupid but Clark has been an insensitive dumbass who bottles everything up and expects people to suck his dick. Martha still shouldn't have been there though.

I'm actually glad this scene was deleted. I love Martha Kent, but it was kind of annoying that she was there and was being all super friendly to Lana and Lex. I mean, Clark is her son... And also why would she give that to Lana? Shouldn't she wait and give it to the woman Clark ends up with?

It's good that they deleted this scene. Bad enough that Martha was at the engagement party for her son's worst enemy and the girl who treated her son as a villain, forgetting numerous times he saved her. If Martha really cared about Clark's feelings, she'd say "No".
