my dad was in the arty division at firebase ripcord and took shrapnel in his arm and leg in July of 1970.
He passed in 2008 and a dozen or so ripcord veterans flew out from across the country to be pall bearers.

July 23, 1970 was the date that I was born on. Other than the movie, what is the best source of information online about the Hamburger Hill controversy? Considering that Hollywood always dramatizes events and changes facts to suit the story they are telling, I don't really want to see the movie and get a distorted version of reality. Unless, of course, you would recommend that I see it.
