  • Amnesty is a NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) and how it is been lead can be found at their homepage.

What they do, firstly translate the word "Amnesty" then you are already one big step ahead understanding Amnesty. Swiftly they're trying to protect, spread and uphold human rights anywhere at anytime.

    Indeed. It's impractical and inhumane.

It's time for society to grow up.

"Doesn't matter to me if the death penalty is cheaper then to spend years"

It's not cheaper, the death penalty is actually more expensive than life without parole.

There really is not a single reason on which the death penalty can be justified over life without parole.

  • FUCK ALL WHO OPPOSE THE DEATH PENALTY!

  • @Matthiasthesecond

So for wanting to see a killer get a taste of their own medicine I'm a caveman? I have no interest in what Christian rightwingers do, but I think their line of argument would be that a little baby being killed is slightly less defensible than a murderer being killed but clearly some of the humanitarians around here disagree.

If I had a relative on death row I'd love them but I would recognise that every crime has a punishment and that people ought not to be above the law.

  • @theporksicle

The only reason the death penalty exists is to satisfy blood thirsty war mongering cavemen like you!

How would you feel if you or someone you loved was on death row. I wont even pretend to understand the pain and suffering of a murder victims family, but the death penalty is nothing more than cruel and detestable. BTW isn't it ironic that Christians hate abortion yet they support both war and the death penalty, whatever happened to THOU SHALL NOT KILL!!!

  • on the other hand, I don't like the fact that I have to pay for those that have committed these crimes weather through death penalty or having to pay for the care and up keep of these sick fools. So basically either way I'm paying either by killing them or by letting them live.Doesn't matter to me if the death penalty is cheaper then to spend years, none of my money should have to go for these sick people.

  • I;m what you call a fence rider. my up bringing sais it is wrong to kill weather it is from a person on the street or state sanctioned, however there are those that have no hope of redemption and are just plain cold blooded and very sick. Also I am of the belief that killing someone that has killed for what ever reason, (hatred, evil, or other reasons) is not going to solve the issue or bring those people back. its not going to ease the pain of the victims family's.

  • Human rights is all about protecting criminals and spitting in the face of the victims. Justice should be served, there are some criminals who are beyond help.

  • You really have to GET WISE if you want to see the "ZALLO" Behind their faces...

There isnt much time. Get smart or lose this war between Evil and sheeeps!!
