Mr. Musk is betting his entire fortune, and all credibility in the business world, that access to space can be made cheaper and easier, and perhaps even safer.
I for one stand behind his efforts. I don't want to see our country abandon space exploration, but costs must be controlled. That is the reality. Our country cannot afford to continue to borrow trillions from the Chinese to fund our military, pay for necessary infrastructure, and luxuries such as space exploration. Something has to give.

@isuckaman nah.N-1 engines were new and largely untested and their number was continuously upped last minute. Falcon Heavy is basically 3 falcon 9's strapped together, a much more feasible challenge.

28weeks so cool it's was great. is the super heavy the way of the future? turning off nasa was best, to support private space program was the best way to go. space program's in america may look sad now,but what have been bread in spaceX is only the begaining! it could be the next america market boom,just possible that a airline / space x builders may team up to make a market? the only way forward is if there's money to be made (just thinking out loud)
