Ozark Folk Festival Mountain View AR April 17th 2009 #3

Random scenes from the recent Ozark Mountain Folk Festival now in it's 47th year.

Beginning at the historic courthouse square and extending in every direction are groups of musicians performing the traditional music of the region.

I counted 33 such small groups of pickers, many in the city park on the 'pickin' porchs' each spaced about 60 feet apart.

Many, many different instruments were heard being played by people of all ages mixing and matching tunes.
