Nemours Children's Clinic Hope Grant Donation and Handprint Ceremony

On Wednesday, September 7, the Jacksonville-area Hyundai dealers and Hyundai Hope on Wheels awarded Nemours Children's Clinic of Jacksonville with a Hope Grant in the amount of $100,000 to support a program that aims to meet the unique psychosocial needs of adolescents and young adults with cancer. The check was officially presented to Nemours Children's Clinic at 10 a.m., where Jacksonville-area children affected by cancer placed their handprints in colorful paint on a canvas to commemorate their brave battles with cancer. At the event, 13-year-old Helen Coutant, former Nemours Children's Clinic patient shared her courageous story about her battle with childhood cancer. She touched the hearts of the crowd of over 50 people and drew many laughs and smiles.
