I saw the JG a couple times during the 70's....what a fucking treat!!!! The 1st time/version was in the early 70's with Fox, Peters and Walsh...absolutely sick!!!! The 2nd time with Fox, Peters and Tommy Bolin!!! slightly different and even SICKER! Many JG purists feel the band died when Walsh left and Tommy Bolin took over. Not me. I liked them both. I dare say they were completely different which was like listening to 2 great bands. Although Bolin was the better guitar player, he's dead.!

probably the most underrated band ever..

@slpplexi1969- Beatles, Hendrix, The Who and The Cream were not "main stream" back then- well the Beatles maybe. Society were scared to death of those long haired, counter culture rock musicians, most parents forbade their kids from listening to them. Most of us had secret stashes of those albums hidden away.
Mainstream back then was Sonny and Cher, Burt Bacharach, the Carpenters, etc. NOT hard rock. Hard Rock was counter-culture, underground.
I'm sure that's what oberfour1 meant.

@cedarvalley I definitely agree with you that Joe Walsh was a lot better in James Gang than the lame ass Eagles, I always thought The Eagles was a lame ass band and I do not like Don Henley at all.
