This is located at a "steam engine" or 1/4 scale ride park in Wisconsin Dells. i think that this is the only one of these i have ever seen. The boiler is cut open to expose the heat exchange technology. The heat traverses the inside of these pipes and heat the water and steam surrouning it. One might say this is a "heat chucking" steam engine. A newer model of steam engine could be or maybe would be heat recycling or recovering. This is the reason steam engine disappeared. Steam engine would be the ideal modern "good usage" engine if it were built or designed to recycle the left over heat after a "high efficiency hot pulse with heat recovery" were employed.
