Documentary following the journey of two injured soldiers: 19-year-old Ranger Andy Allen who, in July 2008, had his right leg blown off and his eyes badly burnt by an improvised explosive device; and 24-year-old Lance Corporal Tom Neathway, who lost three limbs after moving a booby-trapped sandbag.
Unconscious and watched by their families they fight for their lives, but surviving their injuries is just the beginning.

  • the vast majority of regular people have no clue how complex and difficult treating patients with injuries like these is. this puts real faces on something that has been hid away pretty well the past 8 years.

  • All this pain these young kids go through, all the suffering. And what for ? A bunch of fucking lies, greed, money, Lithium, Opium, CIA, Mossad, Zionists. Scum of the earth who keeps sending young people to war. WW1, WW2, NAM, Gulf, Iraq, all LIES !!!!!

  • good Boys! ihr seid HEROS!

  • It's quite a nice surprise seeing military people so caring and empathic.

  • in my eyes these men are legends, normal ppl like u and me doing amazing things. we need to do more for our men and women

  • this is shocking. All this has happened to just keep a greedy parliment in there lush jobs and expensive houses and posh suits. The whole dam war was done for money.

  • @dinogrower actually its not the military scientists that work on this. its the guys at teh univerisities and academic boards. if they had more grants in this feild, we can really make headway. alot of the technology needed for "smart prosthetics" is develpoed. we need to put it together and develop it

  • Brought tears in my eyes....thank you so much for your service in my country..I wish I could give you my arm and leg...your sacrifices saving millions of people in my country.....

  • @jaqvigga ..they give them a pitiful pension and do their best to award has little as possible for their injuries.

  • Not enough money spent on limb regeneration research and molecular biology. If amphibians can regrow their limbs then so can humans. It is just a matter of technology. We think we are advanced societies but our standards and values are f-ed up. Take all the money spent on football and baseball and give it to the military scientists in my opinion.
