HK-450MT Flight with Crash

I am relatively new at flying helis, on this flight it got away from me and I lost the orientation. It went down inverted, broke off battery tray, killed flybar, feathering shaft, main and tail blades, main shaft, main gear, damaged canopy (which I would not use again anyway, the dark gray color contributed to the loss of orientation, now use a red one), hurt pride.

Fixed the next day, exhausting my spare parts supply. The HobbyKing MG-14 Metal Gear cyclic servos were all fine.

hey, do you know what would have more headspeed, this or 4000kv turnigy, i am confused with the whole kv thing

I am running a 3700kv on an 11 tooth pinion, the 4000kv on the same pinion will yield a higher headspeed.

kv is Revolutions/Volt. So a higher kv is a faster rpm with Voltage being equal, Hope this helps.

I would say that you should be fine with a 40 amp ESC, mine pulls well under 40 amps (25 amp range, with spikes in the 30s) and there is only a 300kv increase with your motor choice.
