The fact is people are just making an assumption that the other opinions regarding her age can be dismissed. And most of the critics are too eager to go islam bashing without, an objective inquiry into the difference in opinion amongst us.

Some do however, and they can use sacred tradition to justify marrying off girls at the age of six.

... once we consider that based on classical sources , there is in the muslim scholistic tradition an awareness of different reports some of which conclude she must of been 19. With Respect ,there are literally a million hadith. That is well known by the scholars and the learning community. And you wont find them all on line. If people are going to make a critique of islam they should consider what different Muslim scholars and hisrorians have written on the point they are looking at.

Ist of all, my apologies if you felt the comments about ego where aimed at you, that was not intentional. The purpose of the blogs ive sent out on this issue is simply to encourage a revaluation of certain coments for those bloggers mature enough to consider they may have made a mistake. Given the difference of opinion regarding Lady Aishas age , it is not fair to conclude without a shadow of a doubt that the Prophet peace be upon him , warrants these remarks.
