Yeah, it's underrated, and also gets crapped on a lot I see, which, it does deserves it's criticisms, but I think it's one of those games with a certain bad factor that makes it fun/good, which may seem crazy, but I am... :)

I just ordered the famicom version of this game because I recently found out how drastically different the two versions are to one another. From what I read theres so much more to the famicom version. 6 more stages 4x the magic, abilities, projectiles. Theres just so much more to it

If you like Demon Sword, check out the Japanese original - Fudou Myouou Den. They cut 6 levels, a bunch of items and weapons from the U.S. version. Also, dragon transformation. \m/

it starts getting pretty intense after you beat the guy that looks like a giant chicken LOL i dont remember too much of it but i know theres one boss thats like on the roof of a building and hes throwing ninja stars at you. that shit was hard as hell. hell yea the music rules tho!
