  • I have no doubt that Terri knows what she's doing, but these videos are too short, spend too much time saying hello and goodbye, are impossible to find in order, and while they explain some things well, still skip over things that leave me, as a total beginner, completely lost

  • I agree with MusaAdenuga, you should leave a bit extra space just in case, at least 1/2 an inch. Expertvillage should number these videos or something because they are really hard to find in the order they are ment to be.

  • These videos are a waste of time.

  • i can't find the last one!!!

  • The only information in this whole video after the advertisement was that you iron the pattern, which is pretty obvious, and that you personally like to cut off extra, which isn't necessary, and is in the title of the video. Where are the useful sewing videos on yt?

  • @bimoma1 cut right on the line. If the line is wide, cut right down the center of it. But other experts suggest leaving a wide margin of extra tissue on foldlines to remind you to place them on folds and avoid accidentally cutting all the way around the pattern piece.

  • Leaving a little bit extra paper is your choice. But before you cut anything make sure you have your measurements and the measurements of the pieces your cutting. That way you know if your pattern will fit or not and adjust to it accordingly.

I personally leave extra paper because its easier to cut the pattern out of the fabric.

  • always leave abit extra...if you dont and you make a mistake all your work would be a waste

  • do you cut on the line or leave a little extra of the paper (pattern)?
