I meant that the question "Will the environment lose out to the economy in 2009?" was silly, because as I stated, the environment always loses out in a system like ours. Sorry for any confusion.

Humans have lived on this planet for 150 thousand years in harmony with the planet. These issues have only arisen in the past 6 thousand years starting with Mesopotamia. These issues are problems with civilization not the human race. Even today, tribal people do not have any of these problems.

The world will have corruption, greed, selfishness, murders, deaths and evil things as long as HUMANS is around. Communinsm don't work because people are corrupt. Thats why the leaders of these states are always well off.

The world will have corruption, greed, selfishness, murders, deaths, and evil things as long as money is around. What we can do is share the money so evil things are shared equally among all, not building up on a person or people that will lash out when time comes.

I wish there were more world citizens and not just more Americans who started to think like this and act upon it. When I see the natural calamities and the human not to mention other animal and plant casualty I shudder to think what would happen if there truly is a drastic global weather disaster of enormous proportions. We need to be sensitive of the world we live in and not think "Drill baby drill".
