After work (i finish at 11am) i went for a walk up Pannanich Hill. I knew the weather was awful but as is often said 'theres no such thing as bad weather only bad clothing' and i was keen to check out how my walking gear performed. It was about 3 degrees and the wind was roughly 80mph at the top. It was possible to stand but walking into the wind was v.dificult. I walked down the lee slope of the hill and headed for the trees which provided such a calm space it seemed miraculous. The walking gear held up well. The only exception was my trail shoes which arent waterproof and didnt cope well with the slush.
I was wearing
Patagonia Ascensionist jacket (superb)
Patagonia Capeline 3 top (v.good, suprisingly warm, does smell before long)
Patagonia Capeline 3 bottoms (v.good, quick drying, light, smooth outer surface)
North Face Apex Pant (pretty rubbish)
Outdoor Designs Windpro Gloves (great fabric, poor stitching)
Buffalo pile and pertex Mits (superb fabric and surprisingly good dexterity)
Extra-heavyweight Teko merino wool socks (prety warm even when wet but poor durability)
Outdoor Desigs Windpro Balaclava (v.good, quick drying, very wind resistant, dosent blow away!)
Hey man, havent seen a video from you in a while. I think the talking was futile though.

@TimLIVID yes it was ...i guessed it probably would be but gave it a go anyway. The walk was good fun if a little hairy right at the top where the wind was strongest and made even standing a bit of a challenge!
