A computer science and mathematics team from Hampshire College in Massachusetts and the State University of New York in New Paltz has used evolutionary processes to solve a century-old algebra problem far faster and more efficiently than any past efforts of humans or machines.

Evolution? Interdisciplinary? Do you know why we had the abstract art movement of the 20th century? If not, then you're in no position to provide an interdisciplinary education in the 21st century. The answer is, so we could become enlightened to how painting, music, dance, athletics, ... are understood as interrelated, relative to the integration of the mind / body / spirit / soul.
