How does the notion of an individual soul -- jiva -- come about in the one consciousness? This is one of infinite notions that arise in the infinite consciousness.

The one consciousness is dynamic. It is vibrant.

Vasistha dismisses the jiva as an ignorant notion. It is an inherent limitation within the infinite. The infinite includes the finite and the finite entails self-limitation.

Becoming aware of these limitations we then have the opportunity to become free of them.

We have a limited sense of our own consciousness.

Latent tendencies feed this limited sense which condenses into egotism, I-ness.

The sense of separateness is self-fuelling. It is something that is learnt and then is confused with reality.

Creation is agitation in consciousness. It is a long dream.

The first apparent modification in consciousness is the creator Brahma, the cognitive process.

Understanding of this brings duality to an end.
