i would say that teens say geil mostly, would be kinda weird to hear an adult say it all the time. but that is because you are right... its just weird to say horny everytime you like sth. i think i thought it meant awesome way before i knew what horny even means

I think "geil" in German is like "gay" in English. Gay as in "fun, happy" (now i come to think of it, i don't know a proper synonym of the word in thát context xD)..

I was so disappointed when I found out that Germans don't say "Ganz Geil". I still say it though from time to time, because even though I am the opposite of 12 (as in; 21) it's still funny xD
