where's the A-side?

always strikes me as one of motowns overlooked greats...never achieving the same status as smokie, marvin, supremes etc......but has the highest quality voice & soulfulness

Over the years, this has gradually become my favourite Gladys Knight side ever. It positively aches with Soulfulness and I now like it even more than "If I Were Your Woman", "Make Me The Woman You Go Home To", "I Don't Wanna Do Wrong" and "Giving Up"! Beautiful.

OMG.....Sandfordway..You are really pulling out the GOOD stuff...I love this song from the first moment it started...Thanks for sharing! Gladys Knight & The Pips are the greatest.....Mr. Gordy should have invested more into this 2nd tier group as he called them, just like Kim Weston,Brenda Holloway,The Velevelettes & The Marvelettes just to name a few!!!!!!

A real bonus for a B-side. Gladys could do the nitty gritty stuff just as easily as the love ballads. I bet BG was well naffed off when she made it even bigger when she left Motown. He no doubt came to the conclusion that if he'd invested more, he could have made more.
