is there anyway to programm this in real time with some method ? like rs 232 or anything.. i just want to be able to move the superimposed pixel in rela time on the vertical and horizontal axes.
I have implemented a similar project, but using a dsPIC33FJ128GP802. It's a much more powerful processor, so I have a 256x192 pixel graphical display up and running. The software and hardware are both open source.
@dsfrobots The timing should be adjusted and probably the levels (i don't know NTSC so well) but usually this is no problem as characters will be just little wider on NTSC. As there is no color involved, the overlay insertion device usually not cares about PAL/NTSC. As in europe my only NTSC source is a computer, and just for fun once i let my XV-T500 framestore keyer insert a logo into it.... Guess what? It worked, just the logo of course had no color.
Take it you went out of business then. Website seems to just have a FRONT, no content...shame would love to have learned more about the OSD
