  • Why did they make contestants hit the buttyon to guess the word insdtead of saying it later on?

  • Chuck redeemed himself after he left WOF in early 1982. Scrabble is his longest game show.

  • @tpir1972 Scrabble and Sale also never aired back-to-back on USA either. Sale of the Century aired right before Win, Lose or Draw, while Scrabble was sandwiched in-between Press Your Luck and the Pyramid Power-Hour.

  • @tpir1972 Scrabble and Sale did not air back-to-back on its NBC run. Sale originally aired in the 9:30 AM timeslot from 1983-87 against CBS's Child's Play, Press Your Luck, Card Sharks w/ Bob Eubanks. Then it moved to the 9AM timeslot vs. The $25,000 Pyramid and the Ray Combs Family Feud. Meanwhile Scrabble aired directly after Super Password at the 12:30 noon slot from 1984-until either '87 or later than '87. When Sale & SP was gone in '89, Scrabble aired on SotC's old timeslot.

  • Did Scrabble and Sale of the Century air back to back on NBC's schedule? and what about on USA?

  • Instead of talk/reality shows, ABC ought to look into bringing SCRABBLE back to television once ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN ride off into the sunset.

  • SCRABBLE the only board game to be a successful game show, though I don't think Monopoly was a bad attempt.

  • @666Brago GSN never had Scrabble. The only cable channel that had it was USA Network.

  • @corydwalker If I have the board game which I got at Target, it says 2007. there was no copyright 1948 on the box, the instructions and the game board.

  • @nextbarker If not, maybe they should it on the Hub soon along with the 80's shows based on the Hasbro franchise. Hasbro produced "GI Joe", "The Transformers", "My Little Pony" and "Scrabble". Fremantle is a distributor and Hasbro is the company that owns "Scrabble". That's what Hasbro is all about.
