I decided to go back later and I got the last two toilets in one video.

The first is the replaced Twyford, it may be replaced but the sound and pressure is brilliant.

The second is the original Royal Doulton, the pull on the chain felt weaker for some reason and strangely, when I pulled and let go, a drop of water came flying out from the cistern and hit me on the head ...
The flush again sounds good and is powerful.

I hope they don't renovate them, they are nice toilets but I fear for them as another old block I was planning to get (It has old low level toilets) was closed for maintainance. At least I have the records of these.

Worth a visit if you can.

  • I have a toilet video now. Twyfords are very good aswell, better infact. 8-)

  • ha ha! crapped in those a few times, the toilet block is very old,the cisterns I think may be original but the pans look to be 1950s

no doubt they will be ripped out soon:-(

  • Makes sense, I believe the first time I saw this one was around 2000.

  • I deduced it to be 1997 because there was this toilet I visited in Hong Kong that has this new logo,it was renovated in 1997.

  • For some reason I thought the current logo without the 's' was from 1999 or 2000 and up, quite close though. Thanks for that info. :)

  • The cursive ones range from 1983 to 1996.This one you have is from 1997 and beyond.

  • Yes, I agree I consider a few of the cursive ones to be reasonbly modern.

  • I think the cursive one is considered quite new as compared to those in consistent block letters.

  • The cursive one, I haven't seen a Classic Twyfords with the Viterous China on them. Yet ...

  • Hmm...you mean those with Viterous China on them?
