eBow Instrumental Cover of Matte Kudasai from the album Discipline by King Crimson (1981). A timeless song which still sounds great, I love it. Gear used: eBow, Ibanez RG550, Hughes & Kettner Switchblade 50. Camera: Panasonic Lumix TZ10 (ZS7 in US). This was filmed in AVCHD mode

  • Nicely done. What a gorgeous lush sound. One of my favorite Fripp tunes.

  • @markeshepherd Yeah, Fripp and Belew are still great. Completely went through the roof when I heared Elephant Talk for the first time.

  • what is an ebow do?

  • @metachozoite Not exactly sure how it works, maybe there is some little magnet in it, or it's just the light. Anyway, it makes the string vibrate with an endless sustain. There is a lot of info at the ebow website.

  • @Hv358 ok just watched a video on it...it is two oppising magnents ( two alike magnents which would cause them to push away from each other causing whats in the middle to viberate ), but theres has three modes on it.....on off and harmonics....are these expensive?

  • @metachozoite I have the old model, which is a kind of hard, because it doesn't have a on/off switch. You have to fire it up yourself by a hammer on or pull off and it doesnt have any modes. The new models are easier. They cost around 110 euros.

  • I think that this one was not written by Fripp. It' s Belew's song.

  • Beautifully played - Very moody and very moving. Could you please tell me what sound settings you are using : amp tones effects etc . . .

Love to hear more of your stuff if you have any more recordings ?

    Best Wishes . . . Eddie.

  • @Hv358 I just looked the us wants 99 usd for it...kind of pricey :(

  • @Hv358 hummm culd be the viberation from an opposing magnetic field....as far as a light goes....It would have to be a wierd fq.....because I have tried lazors.....so my guess is a high powerd magnent...? what does the thing look like?

  • @PixxyLixxx Thanks for the comment! I am thinking of buying the new ebow model. This one doesn't work as well with the RG550 in this clip. Hard to find a hot-spot making timing very hard. It works as a breeze on my Les Paul though.

  • @notpopebuthope Thanks Christian!
