Islam = Peace and harmony

The news media shows this portion of the verse and said that Muslims are allowed to kill anyone they want to. The only showed this small portion. They didn't even show the whole verse. Anyone who lives in North America knows what I am talking about. "Kill them wherever you find them" is a portion of a verse. It isn't even the complete verse. Jihad is part of our religion but there are rules to follow. For example, a soldier can NOT even harm a tree (if it is possible to avoid doing so). The tree has nothing to do with the conflict. The tree can be harmed for strategic advantages if it is presumed that it would save lives. Islam is the best religion and it is the most moral religion.

@Hughganaught i half agree but as a Muslim my self i am aginst The sharia law they give fairness more to man than women and the stoning to death is ignorant God chooses what happens to the people who do sin not human kind and how comes ladies cant go hospital without a man drive a car or even travel to another country without a man by doing these things does not expose women.

it is typical: good verse = no need for any context, bad verse = out of context... Islam is NOT the religion of piece, this discussion should be closed, I know that it is very inconvenient for Muslims as they have a lot of weird lines in their book and because of that it is hard to live in a country like USA, UK etc where people are not happy when they are told: it is ok to beat a wife... oh... again out of context.. beat her but only if she does not agree with you...

@HappyRoadCone no jesus is mentioned as a great prophet and in islam though opinions differ saying shahada saves you from eternal hell (you might go there for your sins but leave eventually) so ,in essence we pray to god so he is closer to us and we have his mercy and grace upon us and islam recognizes both evil and righteousness one is from the soul the other from the whispers of the devil and lack of faith

Islam is missing one thing: Jesus. Islam is a religion. You have to pray the right prayers and do it for the right amount of time so "Allah" is "happy" with you. Christianity tells you up front that you CAN NOT "earn" your way to heaven, 'cause we all have blemished souls and NOTHING we do will be seen as righteous to a perfect, holy God. That's why He sent Jesus Christ, so He'd be our way to heaven. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes before the Father but through Him.
