First startup in over 7 years of an old Amiga 1000. It's an A1000 with the 256k chip ram extender on the front and a 1 megabyte insider board. Total of 1.5 megabytes of ram. Unfortunately this isn't my original A500 I loved so much. This was a $35 computer I picked up after selling my A1200 and A3000 C-NET BBS computer because I just couldn't give up my Amiga completely. It is completely beat up. I guess it was part of some sort of school computer lab at one point and it has holes in it from where they wired it to the table. It had been sitting in the window of AVS Amiga store in St. Paul for a long time and they just wanted it gone. Now it's mine. It has some strange graphical glitch where some colors flicker. I thought it may be due to the old chipset the A1000 uses but it could just be slightly broken. I tried to pop an updated Denise from an A500 in there and though it physically fit, it didn't work. I'm surprised the old floppy disks still function after all these years.
2:53 being drunk on nostalgia i guess :)
