Are you aware that over 1,000 temporary healthcare reform waivers have been granted by the Administration to organizations around the country? The reason: they can't meet the limited annual coverage without significantly increasing premiums or decreasing access to benefits. That leaves us with some looming questions: What about us, the individuals? What about the people who can't afford to be forced into paying yet another bill?

We are unfairly being left behind when it comes to the waiver discussion. We need to stand up and ask for what hundreds of companies and organizations have already been granted.

  • What if the roles were reveresed. what if they passed a simple law that said that if you dont have insurance, you cant be seen in the ER. What would we do, let people die in the streets?

  • You can get a waiver right now, by paying an extra tax. Just like you can buy cigarettes to smoke right now as long as you're willing to pay an extra tax for them. You pay the tax for the right to be stupid & smoke. In this case, you pay the tax for the right to be stupid & not buy insurance. Deal with it. Take some personal responsibly for not buying insurance. I don't want my tax and insurance dollars to keep subsidizing you're ER visits because you're too cheap to be insured.

  • alot of these morons commenting below don't know what the hell they are talking about. If you make above 400% of the poverty level, you will pay IN FULL for your health care. Thats about 43,000 for an individual and 88 k for a family of 4. THINK about that. Now look at your pay check where your employer pays for a portion of your premiums. Total up all that. Thats how much you are going to be paying each year.

  • @annagsalerno

I am sorry you have no idea what The Health care Reform Act is.

Like most Tea Party whackos they think it is a Insurance Plan which nit is not.

Right now every person who has insurance is participating in the Heath Care Act.

Every person who is covered by Medicare is participating in the Health Care Act.

Every person who is covered by the VA is participating in the Heath Care Act.

    Ignorance only breeds ignorance.

So do you have insurance? If so you too are participating.

  • @BluegrassHemp what an idiot you are. Must be one of those welfare mentality bunch. This healthcare system that barry hussein odumbo had to shove down our throats and twist arms, back room deals and job offers to buy the votes needed is a Socialistic joke and it must be repealed! and the muslim marxist barry hussein needs to be shot or hanged by his scrawn neck until he is dead for treason against the United States of America!!!

  • You do have a waiver. You have just like the Companies who have applied for waivers must be have Insurance by 2014.

You don't have to ask for a waiver Companies with more than 50 employees do

That means if you want to go without Health Insurance go for it Hoss..

You can tell these people have no idea what they are talking about since you can tell some are on Medicare.
