June 26th, 2009 - Water Spout off the coast of Sanibel Island, Florida

This was a water spout / tornado that snuck up on us while we were vacationing at Sanibel Island, FL. We had moved under the condo to avoid the thunderstorm, and looked up to see this. The water spout fizzled out within a minute after I stopped filming. Having seen (and been hit by) tornadoes in Indiana, this storm was freakishly quiet.

Location Update: Condo is on Middle Gulf Drive on the Southeastern Coast of Sanibel.

im going back aug. 5th. but u wont belive it. last yr. me n my dad were on the beach and there were about 6 of them out in the ocean. i ran back and warned everyone by the pool, but they didn't believe me. lol
