  • Another thing bothers me is that he is a big advocate for Free Interprise and Capitalism, but on the other hand he's like an Old Man who doesnt understand new technology such as cell phones, texting, social networking, bluetooth etc. These were the things brought in from Capitalism and also the Keeping Up With Jones mentality that really sparked the materialism we have today. So that bothers me one hand he's for the selling and trading of products at a mass rate and then thinks there overbearing

  • To a certain degree he is right. Times back then were easy depending on who you were where you stayed and there wasnt so much materialism wasnt that rapid dependign on where you stayed at or who you are. However those were time where Social and Racial InJustice was more open, because certain whites would not associate with Black and Vice Versa. Also its easy for you not to acknowledge these things if you did not experience them much like how Oreily never experienced losing his civil rights.

  • @MousseTauChocolate Where did I say men and women should be forced into conformity? I am saying people should live the lives they want to. Regardless of what gender they are.

  • @ec123456789able ure a fool! without a certain level of basic conformity full anarchy would break out. enforced gender roles are wrong but its equally wrong to force men and women into uniformity.

  • @MousseTauChocolate I really disagree with you. I disagree that any form of coercion into conformity is positive. I believe in personal liberty, individuality, and freedom of expression.

Also, gender roles are illogical. There are always going to be men and women who do not conform to gender stereotypes, therefore they can't be used to justify anything.

  • @MousseTauChocolate wouldnt assume like in the military or leadership of companies.

  • @MousseTauChocolate I dont believe gender roles were enforced more at any time than today where you have judges who artificially put women into positions which they naturally

  • @ec123456789able maybe there was more conformity but it was local. your local background heavily coined you unlike today were people from all over the world view the same media and advertisment.

  • @MousseTauChocolate I think you make some good points, I myself am against the heard mentality of a lot of consumers too. I also don't like modern music, however in the old days there was a lot of conformity too, and it was enforced conformity. Gender roles were strictly enforced, and flamboyance was punished. I am merely saying I don't want to return to that.

  • @ec123456789able my argument is that individuality and freedom are illusions. indeed global capitalism has reduced individuality by forging a global capitalist monoculture. now whereever you travel people wear the same cloths, listen to the same lady gaga, go to the same mcdonalds. I believe people in former times were much more individual and free than today.
