You guys stop expecting it to be just like the book , was harry potter film like the books? or was twilight? or was so many movies..i still find this movie amazing! who cares if it wasn't exactly as the book, its still the same story, if they went by the book it'll be just boring.

everythings basically opposite in the moviee... they were suppose to arrive in the middle of the night, they aren't suppose to know that John Amos knows about them, and chris and cathy look waay too old... shes suppose to be 12.. yeah right...

@OreoLover123100 People are always saying "I'd just kick her ass!" I guess people forget what it's like to be young and the FEAR that an adult can instill in you. And this was back in the day when kids were scared to death of adults. I mean I could feel the fear these kids had, if they got too out of line that scary butler would have probably hurt them.
