Training a horse to pull a Buggy: Part One

Earnest the horse is 23 yrs. old and his owner 83 yrs. old. When she found that she could no longer ride and pursue the art of dressage together with Earnest, Gill decided that they would learn to drive! These videos are showing some of the stages of training a horse for this. Rick is instructing the both of them. The main theme of this lesson is utmost trust and obedience in the driver: knowing that he can simply stop and stand when frightened with things.They are driving between poles and backing up--simulating backing up to hitch up a buggy.
