this builds most feared enemy?
frost cloak
outside of that, why not heavy armor?
also, this build would be perfect with a breton under the lord birthsign. 50% resist magic, elemental protection, and heavy armor, i ask, what could beat you?
-
That shit is so OP, it's like an infinite FUS RO DAH, especially when you can regenerate your stamina with a healing spell.
-
@thant0s Oh god :D I'm so going to make a character like this <3
-
Master, baby. As you can see, even without a decent attack, Shield Charge makes the game laughable.
-
Is this Novice?

@ernestezekiel 567 armor rating, a lot of health then go tank giants!
-
@ernestezekiel Good catch, especially considering my reply to Wattie.
Basically, it's just a matter of personal preference and character; she's meant to be light on her feet, agile and flexible rather than a towering brute, but I should have probably went heavy for the much-needed extra bashing damage.
As for leveling block, I'd piss off the toughest thing I could survive and let'em take a crack at the shield then healing while fleeing. Repeat until I could get the needed perks.
-
why do you use light armor? also, this is ingenious, it has reignited my fire for skyrim XD
my first character was a sword and boarder, but i didn't think to do this, block takes forever to level though, how did you level yours?
-
@xWattie831x Tickled my brain the first time I saw a shield actually do damage, but sought it out when I was trying to min-max skill selection. I wanted redundant survival, but the "Big Four" (Restoration, Alteration, Heavy Armor, Shield) left no room for offense, so I improvised.

This is hilarious. And surprisingly effective. How'd you think of it?
-
shield is a dangerous weapon
How do you play this at a low level when you cant do damage with a shield bash?

@RyannIsHereee It doesn't take long to rank up your block; if running this build is important to you, you can just piss off the random wildlife and camp block/pots/healing until you get shield bash, or defend yourself with weaponry until you naturally gain access to it.

There is a perk that makes arrows do no damage if they target the shield. So i usually sneak towards them to increase the chances of them hitting my shield (not sure if it makes a difference but it seems to)
Once you are in range then just do what you want to them :D

@IronBahamut That's actually a good idea, Baha. Hit detection is based off hitboxes, which are relevant to the size and shape of a target, and considering that when you crouch you noticeably lower your vertical profile, you effectively make your shield "bigger".
Were I not a speed fanatic, and had the coordination to A) remember that and B) execute it when necessary, I'd use it more often.

How does this build perform against ranged characters?

@Duckman1616 Really, that's a good, honest question.
Even though for the purposes of bashing, even with healing spells I have some trouble maintaining enough energy to sprint. In protracted battles with many enemies and a few ranged ones, they are capable of giving me significant grief unless I prioritize them and lock them into melee.
Mages in particular are a bane until you get solid Elemental Resistance, and master avoiding the "bolt" spells. Lock them and they're toast, though
