"This Perfect Day" is a single by punk band The Saints . It was produced by Chris Bailey and Ed Kuepper and recorded and mixed at Roundhouse and Wessex Studios, London, in late 1977.
The single made #34 in the UK charts, the band's only British Top 40 entry to date.
A re-recorded version of the song later appeared on The Saints' 1977 album Eternally Yours.

Don't talk to me about what you done
Ain't nothing has changed it all goes on
And they'll keep laughing till the end
I've seen them drive around in cars
All look the same get drunk in bars
And don't talk back we got no social rights
Oh perfect day
What more to say?
Don't need no one to tell me what I don't already know
We got no high times always flat
If you go out you don't come back
It's all so funny I can't laugh
Oh perfect day
What more to say?
Don't need no one to tell me what I don't already know
Don't talk to me about what's you done
Ain't nothing has changed it all goes on
And they'll keep laughing till the end
Oh perfect day
What more to say?
I don't need no one to tell me what I don't already know Don't need nothin' Don't need no one I don't need nothin', nothin' at all
There are two perfect songs of this era. One is this and the other is the other one. I know which one I mean, but who else does? It starts< here she comes again.....

@ernestrebel, The Saints formed the same year as The Ramones and one year before The Sex Pistols, although the Saints are cool, when 7 years earlier you got The Stooges and MC5 goin much harder than they ever did.

Eternally COOL!
Proto punk from australia years before punk began (like the Ramone or Sex pistols etc). Shoulda made it huge but to much to soon as the saying goes.

@shackbhoy Most Ferocious ever in the top 10? I agree, Balls! The charts were often full of blistering rock, its just a matter of opinion what one was most 'Ferocious' and everyones choice is right, to them. A total bollocks up conversational non starter argument coz its just a simple matter of taste.
Mojo mag tries to intelectualise R'n'R, what fucking nonsense, its full of up the arse wankers who could spend all night opining about John Bonhams soiled nappies.

This lot deserve fucking medals, they were playing what became known as Punk in arsepipe Ausrtalia before London had even heard of the Roxy.

Blasting guitars and driving beat, what a treat!
Also The Misunderstood`s "Children Of The Sun" and Love´s "7and 7 is" come to mind.
