Απίστευτη ερμηνεία!!!

this song is the ultimate gift that Greece could give to Spain for the games and for all the world could hear it....
-
@Guiu65 it is the poem collection "Romiosuni" by left poet Giannis Ritsos. In Greece you can find the omonymous CD (romiosuni) by other voices (George Dalaras, Gregory Bithikotsis the original). I think it is EMI records. I doubt if there is a recording of Baltsa though. Good luck.

what a poem but what an awfull translation.

My god, Agnes looks like an ancient Greek foreteller with all that smoke and the early 90's classic look, like Pythia or something
-
Please, does anyone know if this music sung by Agnes Baltsa has been published?
-
who could expect it: the poetry of Ritsos, a hudge Greek communist patriot (Lenin Prize winner) ,in greek, sung by a great Greek singer (Baltsa) and composed - conducted by an even greater Greek (Theodorakis), in the Barcelona opening Ceremony, in front of Reyna Sofia. Ironic pages of history, or simply proof that art and athletics can unite the opposite.
Queen Sofia honors her home country!
Seriously great segment! A fabulous Agni Baltsa, and a powerful Mikis Theodorakis (who also composed the music when the flag enters the stadium in Athens 2004).
I;m Greek and proud of it!
