excuse me ??? who are you to talk about myself and other homeless ppl who dont do drugs and actually buy a meal with the money like that?!?!?!?! i got turned away from every single homeless shelter because they were all full. i have to beg everyday for food and money just so i can sleep where its warm, usually an internet cafe. and sometimes i cant even make enough so i end up freezing that night with no sleep. i havent had any food or drink in 3 days cuz ppl arent willing to help us. so fuck u

I do have sympathy for the homeless and dont mind contributing to help someone out when they are in need, but sadly the reason many are homeless (from my area anyway) is drugs, and to give money to the homeless in most cases is to support the very drug habit that got them there.
Id be far happier to donate money to homeless charity that will provide them with food and shelter than give them money directly.

donating to the food bank is good... sad to say ; if you give money to someone panhandling chances are it's gonna get them closer to getting wasted.
