Amazing series, you're very brave for putting all of this up if it's true.

i loved this video. you are a very strong person. i was lucky to be born in a free-thinking environment, and that religion was not forced upon me at a young age. I was enabled to think for myself, and i am very lucky for that. But you had so much to overcome. Spiritual feeling really does exist, and once someone has attached jesus to their spiritual feeling deconverting is like stoppping a drug-addact who has constant access to their drug 24/7. they have to abandon so much in order to gain.

did you ever think they pulled you out of that 'practice confessional' and threw you out in the rain because you knew 'too much' and tried to use their own little form of discipline to try and brainwash you?

I fell for all the miracles and healings. Because you believe every miraculous story told to you by christians, you start thinking God is doing miracles all over the place. But you become blinded by your own wishful thinking. All I actually saw were people SAYING they were healed. I never actually saw miracles that could not just as easily be attributed to chance, natural healing, misdiagnosis, or minor pains healed by their own mental state/adrenaline high.

@manicania The movie is called "Leap of Faith" with Steve Martin.

OMG is the priest picture from Father Ted??? I love that show!!!
-
What movie is it from where the preacher's wearing the flashy jacket and "healing" people?
-
That was worth it for the video at the end alone.

The teachers listened in to the confensions? Nosey bastards. But then again, what did you expect from a bunch of fundemental catholics?

I like the video but I lol'd when you said ''Has a dark side'', and then you showed niggers XD
When are you making part 4?? I simply love this!

@showbizjosh40 Part four is already up :) I'm really glad you enjoyed it. Part five is taking a little longer (not that it's really good or anything, I'm just having a tough time finding time at the moment).

I hope in making these videos, you have realized the true horror of what they were doing to you. You were being manipulated by psychopaths. Not all of them--some were merely victims of the manipulation. But, my point is religion is far more sinister than groups of people feeling good about ideas or groups being wrong about something. It is cold, harsh psychopaths taking control over others.

@MrStillmans,
Of the great number of laeity, the common congregation, the common believer I believe that many of them came to their beliefs like I did; because of early indoctrination and societal and peer pressure - which later turns into personal conviction. However I do feel somewhat abused by some members of the 'church' who, frankly, knew better but it was in their interests to dominate and control others. I will go into this in a later video. These people are the ones who piss me off.
