What if you could paint on water?

Congratulations Amy, I am so thankful you are being recognized as being so truly worthy of TED and YouTube.
The presentation is very moving to me and you shared a lot of information I have never known before. Just like your art, I will continue to study your TED talk. Great points, they are helping me think about my art creation.
I'm very inspired by your presentation and the way it was presented, absolutely beautiful.

@OneKindWord: if you'd like to take one of her workshops in the Chicago area and elsewhere, she will delight you with instruction on how to paint on water. Check her website and also the TED website to review the diverse subject matters that are covered. Is this not the first time you've heard of suminagashi? Google it if you can't make it to a workshop, there's lots of info out there.

Amy- it is good to see you sharing your story and your work in the tech environment.

...but she did share. The lawyer comment was a joke. I wouldn't expect Steve Jobs to give away iPhone touch screen tech secrets, etc. More importantly, she shared her relationship with nature and the elements and how that collaboration leads to the art. Cool video.

Thanks Amy for sharing your artistic/design process and ideas. It is truly inspiring, as is your personal story.

Beautiful artwork.
I was hoping the talk would have been more informative along the lines of most other TED talks but there was no sharing of "technology or design", just a story intended to inspire. Although it was interesting to hear about Amy's early background, I would have liked to have seen even a short video clip. Instead, in direct opposition to TED's principle of sharing information, she hesitated to share any information about her actual work, citing her lawyer's possible objection.
