Something a little different footage wise this time. As there is a semi official video for 'Dark Horse' which was filmed at the rehearsals for this tour, I decided to use some of (well actually most of) that to give me a few different shots to work with. With the actual live footage, it's quite limited so this video would have become rather boring without the inclusion of the rehearsal footage.

As with the other videos, the audio is from Fort Worth Texas.

  • Me encanta por que me enloquece su guitarra y su voz ronca hahahahahaha <3

  • @t2greener I so envy you. I was only "3" when George toured the US back in 74. I always felt I should've been born about 15-20 years earlier than when I was born. I am glad you got to catch him live back then. I bet it was pretty cool to see acts like him and Zeppelin back then.

  • George's singing is actually pretty good here, nowhere near as bad as legend would have us believe, and definitely good enough for an official release as a live album.

  • yeah................George! Sweet!

  • I saw GH in Long Beach during this tour and absolutly loved the concert. I can still remember the huge Dark Horse tapestry or other artwork behind the stage. So mellow, a welcome change up from the Zep show in San Diego that year which was out of control.Oh yeah I was 17 and jammed as many concerts into '74 and '75 as I possibly could. RIP George you will be loved forever.

  • I saw George at the Forum here in LA and to say I was absolutely blissed out of my head at seeing our Hari is the understatement of the century! I was only 16 and it was my very first rock show....me being the ultimate Beatlemaniac it was a dream come true for me, and something I've never ever forgotten.

  • George Harrison named his Record Label "Dark Horse". The inspiration for the Dark Horse logo came from a label on a tin box Harrison saw on one of his trips to India. The logo is the 7-headed horse Uchchaisravas, from Indian mythology. Harrison was a dark horse(unexpected winner) in seeking a solo career after having been overshadowed among The Beatles by Lennon and McCartney, yet being the first ex-Beatle with a #1 solo album and #1 single (All Things Must Pass &"My Sweet Lord")

  • @QueenBeatlesWings - Yeah - I know he was hoarse during the tour and that he was refering to his larangitis when he said that comment but as you wrote - he was a trouper about the whole thing - and I sure admire him for that. I still wish that they would release the films they shot of that tour. :-D

  • @AuroraSkye its actually sad because when he syas "horase hoarse' he's refering to the fact he was sick with larangitis during the whole tour so his tthroat was in bad shape yet he still played every show and did his best so you can hardly tell.

  • The flute sounds wonderful
