Sunset & Venus Crescent from the north-eastern shore of the Delaware Bay in New Jersey. Video shot through a 6 Meade refractor scope, using a JVC video camera. Gusts were about 15-20 mph, and most of the video was useless. The edited parts show the flashes of color caused by the choppy atmospheric conditions that day.
Also, when I set the scope up and tried to focus I found that the focus rack had come loose and was partially jammed. This would not allow proper focus to be made manually. This also kept me from zooming the camera and getting past the vignetting problem.
Still, I was happy to be there, see Venus looking so awesome, and put some Pink Floyd to the event to make it all better. Enjoy.
