They missed the bullet holes on the initial AND focused assessments? That surprises me. I can understand them missing it during the initial check, if the bullets never exited the body. But the focused assessment should have turned it up. Of course, doing a focused assessment on an unconscious patient is pretty difficult, b/c you have no patient input as to where the pain is. And you end up doing a head-to-toe check anyway.
