OSAAT Naatya-Raaga 2008 Dance Competition
Junior Semi-Classical category
Team # 4 presents "kai kotti kali" a semi-classical dance from the southern Indian state of Kerala. This dance is the equivalent of "Garba" of Gujarat, and "Kummi" of Tami Nadu. Clapping their hands to the beat of a song, young girls sance around a brass lamp, celebrating theOnam festival. As they dance, they weave patterns on stage using movements reminiscent of Mohini Attam.
