Peregrine falcon nest fight at UB

Fight between two Peregrine tiercels over a nest containing three eggs on Mar 20, 2010.. Male "Yankee" (banded in Niagara Gorge 2008) fights an unknown male, which may be the previous unbanded male from this nest in 2009 called "Smoky" Smoky was displaced in an earlier fight..
During the fight, the female, "BB", a banded falcon from Detroit, enters the nest. At some point she is seen trying to move the eggs to safety. After the fight it is discovered that one egg was broken in half. Later the next day another and final egg is laid.
Yankee won. He sustained non-fatal injuries to the head but continued to hunt and bring prey to BB.
All three eggs produced healthy fledges, named, Harry, Hagrid and Ron.
