A unique way of 'Celebrating Freedom' for the city's consumers!

Bangalore, August 14, 2004: Yet again Bangalore takes the first step in showing the world the concepts of 'creativity' and 'style' that have become synonymous with this city and this time its through the medium of Cakes. Institute of Baking & Cake Art, the only specialised institute in India training people on baking & cake art, will showcase 101 cakes at Bangalore Central on August 15,2004 under the theme 'Celebrating Freedom'04'.

The entire collection is an effort to invoke the spirit of freedom struggle & our pride of being an Indian. 'Celebrating Freedom'04' will be a true enriching experience for the viewers, which is beyond just freedom struggle. The display not only spreads into the past pages of history and also future India

Usually when talking about cake exhibitions, we Indians tend to think of huge gigantic cakes. This evoke a thought in Mr.Manish Gaur, director Training IBCA, to break this image & bring to consumers theme based cakes into their small kitchens. 'A little Imagination, a bit of training & flair for creativity are the only ingredients that is required to make your every small occasion special & memorable' says Manish Gaur, Director-Training, and IBCA. "There have been tremendous changes in our Indian kitchens, food preference & outlook which is a positive trend to the Indian Baking Industry and we are delighted to cater these changes from global markets to our Indian homes," he added.

Of the various themes on display, one can visualize our National Symbols-Flag, Emblem, Flower, Bird; Monuments- Red fort, Taj Mahal, Parliament House, Ajanta, Ellora Cave paintings; Festivals-like Holi, Baisaki, ID, Freedom movement; India then-Mauryas, Indus Valley; India Now-IT, Telecom, Media; Defense-Army, Navy & air force; Culture & heritage-Kajal, fashion, Jewellery, the Vedas, languages and many more.

Bangalore Central was very instrumental in the success of the concept as they were able to visualize our thought process & extend their support for this unique event. Wakefield, CALPRO FOODS, Singharama Flour mills, Ovobel Foods Pvt. Ltd., Master line are our other partners in association.

Based on an in-depth understanding of consumer needs and preferences in India, the institute provides for an extensive and exhaustive range of training modules. Courses include Basic Home baking modules for Men and Women; Commercial baking Modules -- for graduates from the F&B industry who want to specialise in Baking; Entrepreneurial Baking modules -- for entrepreneurs venturing into baking. In total the institute today offers about 17 different modules, which are customised to cater to the market demands.

'The exhibition is a window, on the extensive research done by our team on assimilating the information, designing and converting an idea into this edible form. It was immense pleasure to see my students & colleagues translating their acquired skills into these amazing forms and designs', adds Mr.Gaur.

At this occasion, IBCA so announced the launch of the all India decoration course scheduled to start in September'04.

It's indeed a unique way of 'Celebrating Freedom' for the city's consumers!
