One of the greatest players of his era. Its a damned shame that the Mariners didn't go out and get a closer back in the mid-90s. Had they done that, and with all the talent the Mariners had, their story would have been completely different.
Griffey should have retired with a couple of WS rings. Sadly, that never happened.

@rayjr62 I can't agree with you more.. and look at Ichiro a legend that will never be, Felix just got the Cy Young but he might as well be on the Moon, they kept Randy Johnson till his back went out,. Mariners are like a farm team for the rest of baseball. They get great players but have no idea how to use and support them. It isn't money as much as lack of smarts. The owners don't have a clue and the upper management they hire is terrible. Bill Bavasi destroyed more than one team
